What you need to claim your 80G deduction
- An 80G donation receipt from the NGO showing their 80G registration URN.
- A Form 10BE certificate issued by the NGO (mandatory from FY 2021-22). NGOs on Donateazy issue 10BE automatically.
- Your PAN must match what the NGO files in their Form 10BD return.
- Donations above ₹ 2,000 must be in non-cash modes (UPI, bank transfer, card, cheque).
Estimates are illustrative and assume the NGO is 80G-registered without a qualifying limit. The 80G qualifying-limit cap (10% of adjusted gross total income) applies to some donations - check with your CA for your exact case.
